In rememberance of Gayle Williams
As a lot of you know, my heart is totally 100% in missions! Well today, I received the very sad news that a missionary was killed on her way to work around 8am Afghan time.
Gayle Williams, 34, a British South African was due into work, when a couple of motorcycle militants shot her down. According to the SERVE Afghan website, her injuries indicated she died almost instantly. She was dedicated to helping disabled Afghans have a good life, despite their infirmities. I pray I can be just a fraction of what she was to the cause of Christ someday!
The Apostle Paul said it best. This Gayle, is for you! You will be missed, but we rejoice that you are in GOD'S Presence today..
2 Corinthians 5:8, 9 " We are confident, [I say], and willing rather to be absent from the body, and to be present with the Lord. Wherefore we labour, that, whether present or absent, we may be accepted of him."
