This and That...: December 2007

I am a window voyeur by nature. No, that doesn't mean I go around and peek into windows and stare at people..I mean I like to look outside my window and watch others in their everyday life. Just when I think that random acts of kindness are rare, God shows me again, that I am wrong!

I was staring out my bedroom window today, and just as I am ranting at the TV news, God shuts me up AND QUICK! I won't tell you what they were discussing on the news, but it is something I feel very strongly about.

Anyway, I was looking out my bedroom window ranting, and I see this couple trying to move some of their bedroom furniture into their truck...Looks like they are moving out. Looks heavy too...The couple was having difficulties moving a chest of drawers into the truck, when a man was walking by and stopped to ask if they needed help. with the two men doing the lifting the job was done in a few minutes. After the move, I seen a few minutes of conversation, an exchange of a few bucks, a handshake, and the man who stopped to help was on his way.
ON AN ADDED NOTE: I know this may sound weird to some that I bring this up, but if you live in the South, you see a lot of racism BOTH WAYS.I am a victim of racism! Anyway, the man who stopped to help was of a different race than the couple needing help. This is where the blessing lies. We tend to always tend to look at the bad times between two different races. It warms my heart when we can work together to accomplish something. I pray God blesses that man today! Well, the guy made a few bucks, so he was I guess...

Random acts of kindness isn't dead! It's a live and well!
